Become part of that galaxy far, far away.

The STAR WARS™ Identities exhibition continues its world tour in Brussels at Palais 2 – Brussels Expo which will host the exhibition from April 2nd to September 2nd, 2018. This will be the last stop of the exhibition in Europe.

For 40 years, audiences around the world have followed the adventures of Luke and Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi heroes of a galaxy far, far away, and now the excitement and interest about these stories is sure to continue for many more generations as new films are being released. Now, an exciting exhibition comes to our own galaxy with STAR WARS Identities, a redefined modern exhibition experience in which we will rediscover the unforgettable characters of Star Wars in a whole new way. It gives us the opportunity to take part in the famous movie saga’s universe.

Explore rare treasures from the Lucasfilm archives.

200 original costumes, props, models, and pieces of artwork are yours to discover up close at STAR WARS™ Identities.

There’s BB-8, R2-D2, Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon and even an AT-AT. Other favourites, like Yoda, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Princess Leia, stormtroopers, and Darth Vader, are also on display. As are many more treasures, including dozens of objects being exhibited for the first time.

Breathtaking face-to-face encounters with dozens of character costumes and props, as well as original artwork and models, will take you behind the scenes in the movie-making process.

The collection spans all six Star Wars movies as well as the ongoing television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars™.

Design your own Star Wars™ hero.

Who would you be if you were a character from Star Wars?

A Twi’lek bounty hunter? A Wookiee Jedi Knight? Or maybe an Ewok with fighter-pilot skills?

Here’s your chance to find out. Unleash your creativity as you build your personal and unique Star Wars Hero.

Visitors of all ages explore their own identities and learn about the forces that shape them in this exciting character design quest.

Equipped with a smart technology bracelet, every visitor is invited to respond to a series of identity questions at interactive stations throughout the exhibition.

These character-design stations are interwoven seamlessly with the exhibition’s collection and scientific content and form the backbone of the exhibition experience.

Each answer given along the identity quest is one step in the creation of a complete character profile.

Visitors view the final result—their new and unique Star Wars character—for the first time at the end of the exhibition, and can request to receive a more detailed version of the character profile by email, which can then be consulted from home or shared using social media platforms.

Who are you? And how did you get that way?

STAR WARS™ Identities explores the theme of identity using ten components that help make us who we are: species, genes, parents, culture, mentors, friends, events, occupation, personality, and values.

These ten components are grouped into the exhibition’s three main sections, which follow the progression of identity from childhood to adulthood: first Origins, then Influences, and finally Choices. This thematic backbone gives structure not only to the educational content of the exhibition but to the Star Wars collection as well.

From a scientific perspective, visitors learn how these components affect identity. Ten videos, one per component, combine clips from Star Wars with animated graphics explaining how each component plays a part in shaping who we are—“we” in this case referring simultaneously to the fictional characters of the Star Wars universe and to the visitors themselves.

These videos were developed in collaboration with the Montreal Science Centre and a team of experts practicing in a variety of scientific fields, including genetics, neuropsychology, health sciences, and psychology.
